Michael McNevin is a veteran troubadour of the folk scene, having logged nearly 20 years of concerts across the U.S. and has been a main stager at the Strawberry, Kerrville, and Philadelphia folk festivals.. He has a unique voice, is an accomplished guitarist, and, above all, is known for his vivid brand of storytelling in his lyrics. He is a past winner of the Kerrville New-folk award in Texas, and a 5-time winner of the West Coast Songwriters Association Song of The Year. He has 6 CDs. Five tracks from this were heard in Weekend King, an indie film shot in Niles, where Michael grew up and currently lives. He also had a cameo role as a lovesick bartender who sings in the corner between drinks. Michael is also an Etch-a-Sketch artist of renown, delighting and dumbfounding audiences with his song illustrations on the little red toy, and also giving art gallery shows! He runs the tiny and unique Mudpuddle music shop in downtown Niles, where he also hosts jams and concerts. In this show Michael will be accompanied by Patrick McClellan on double bass, harmonica, and harmony vocals. www.michaelmcnevin.com
“Michael is one of folk music’s best kept secrets. His voice is hypnotic, his guitar playing superb...” ~ Christine Lavin
Michael would like to introduce Juliet Gobert, from Nevada City, to the Ugly Mug audience. Juliet has played with many well-known musicians on many stages since the early 90’s. Her music is sometimes described as “back porch Americana”. She will sit in for some songs with Michael and Patrick, and/or do a short opening set. www.reverbnation.com/julietgobert![]()

AT DON QUIXOTES MUSIC HALL
6275 Highway 9 in Downtown Felton, Reservations online or call 831-603-2294“Joe Craven has found a couple of hot young pickers worthy of his chops: wild man bassist Jonathan Stoyanoff and Bruce McMillan - dazzling with crafty dobro, acoustic guitar pickin' and angelic voice With Joe's wildly eclectic musicality, the sonic possibilities are unlimited. I just saw this new trio's new show- WoW!” - PBS Television Producer Peter Berkow.
"Joe Craven and The Sometimers" featuring Bruce MacMillan and Jonathan Stoyanoff, adhere to a “no genre left behind” policy of music making while leaping from a springboard of Americana. They perform impressively credentialed and possess poetic license to operate heavy machinery. Their analog/power tool box includes both upright and electric bass, various guitars, Dobro, lap steel, mandolin, octave mandolin, fiddle, more cowbell and who knows what else. This new NorCal roots music trio is celebration for a new framework of POP music, as in "Pursuit of Possibility" music. Give 'em a listen and you just might do a little dance while you're at it! “Joe Craven is magical” – San Francisco Chronicle
