BIOGRAPHY: Blue Summit (AJ Lee, Isaac Cornelius, Sam Kemiji, Jesse Fichman and Sully Tuttle) started out as a group of bluegrass festival-going hooligans who loved to hang out and jam. After a while, they decided it was time to become a band and thus Blue Summit was born. Fueled by the powerfully sweet voice of seven-time NCBS award winning vocalist AJ Lee and the masterful instrumental work of the band, Blue Summit has created an exciting repertoire of originals and covers spanning many genres including Bluegrass, Folk, Americana, Western Swing, Jazz, and Blues.

Back in 2009, two local singer-songwriters, Michael Gaither and Steve Kritzer split a night at The Ugly Mug. They'd never played together before and approached the evening as a mini songwriter "in-the-round", trading originals back and forth and backing each other up on a variety of instruments - guitar, banjo, mandolin, harmonica, ukulele.

Michael and Steve discovered a wonderful chemistry together, especially when several folks that night said, "Hey you two should play together more often". Many gigs, years, and co-writes later, they return to The Ugly Mug, with two new CDs in tow.

Michael's Hey Karma has received lots of support from KPIG, KZSC and KKUP and has been in the top 20 of the Roots Music Report Americana chart since its release in May of this year. Steve's Right Where I Should Be was just released and is just now making its way out into the world. Both records mix their trademark humor and storytelling.
