Butch Hancock is a world traveling troubadour with a long string of recorded songs and albums. He has been called "one of the finest songwriters of our time" and is acknowledged by his peers and critics alike as one of the premiere singer-songwriters Texas has ever produced. His tunes evoke mystical visions of wind-swept dry-plains and his lyrics are profoundly imaginative, often displaying for his listeners the miracles that occur in the ordinary through creative irony and metaphors. His lyrical style has often been compared to that of Bob Dylan and Woody Guthrie and his songs have been covered by the likes of Emmylou Harris. Hancock is also a member of renowned country rock super-group, The Flatlanders, along with his lifelong friends, Joe Ely and Jimmie Dale Gilmore, a band they formed in 1972. www.butchhancock.net

Fresh out of high school, Rory Hancockhas been Butch's hot lead guitar player for the last three years. He graduated from the single string of his early days of mastering yoyo tricks to the six string of his guitar.

Meeting via a chance YouTube sighting and fueled by rare musical chemistry, eclectic Roots-Folk songwriters Dan Frechette, guitar/harmonica/vocals & Laurel Thompsen violin/vocals prove that musical magic is not only possible, but as described by The Monterey Herald, “a match made in heaven”. Lyrically refreshing and musically diverse, since finally meeting in person in early 2013, this Canadian-American duo is making up for lost time. Logging over 150 concerts per year throughout the U.S. and Canada, they have already released three radio charting albums of their diverse and uplifting original material. Dan and Laurel take to the stage with exuberance, and as a concert reviewer in Tappen, British Columbia wrote, with “their energy, winsome personalities, and toe tapping rhythms, keep audiences engaged with every song”. http://www.danandlaurel.ca/Home.html

Hollis Peach, a folk duo based out of Ashland OR, pulls inspiration from the folk revival of the 60s and 70s, Contemporary Indie & Psych Folk, Americana, and Gospel. Hollis Peach relies on well crafted songs and velvety harmonies. The two members ( Dan Sherrill and Jacqui Aubert) come, originally, from Pennsylvania, and are founding members of another folk-band, Patchy Sanders. Captivating song themes include dreams, after-life, wild-lands, stream-of-conciousness and an adventurous cover or two. www.hollispeach.com

Cosy Sheridan first caught the attention of national folk audiences in 1992 when she won the New Folk songwriting contests at The Kerrville Folk Festival and The Telluride Bluegrass Festival; The Boston Globe wrote "She is now being called one of the best new singer/songwriters."

She has been on the road ever since, playing clubs, concert halls and coffeehouses from Seattle to Berkeley and across the country to Boston. On her new CD, she writes of these years on the road in her song Woody Guthrie Watch Over Me.

Backed by the strong rhythms and harmonies of her bass player, and husband, Charlie Koch, Sheridan's concerts are full of energy and emotionality. Her songs are carefully crafted - and often shorter than the average folk song. "Cosy writes intelligent and clever lyrics with stickable melodies," wrote Sing Out Magazine in a review. Throughout her 25 year career, she has continued to win rave reviews: her 2014 release, Pretty Bird, was chosen as one of Sing Out Magazine's Great CDs of 2014. www.cosysheridan.com

"...a keen and wicked eye for the excesses of our fast-food, TV-happy and noisome culture" - Boston Globe

Josh Lowe and Patti Maxine, both stalwarts of the Santa Cruz music scene, have teamed up to form a folk/country duo. Patti's lap steel blends perfectly with Josh's vocals and acoustic guitar. Patti is a session player in constant demand, and now in her 6th decade as a working musician. She covers a wide variety of styles with ease, from Hawaiian to jazz to blues. Josh is known as a singer-songwriter, both solo and with The Juncos, with whom he has recorded two CD's. His style ranges from soulful to high-energy old-time stomps. www.joshualowemusic.com

Trained as a classical violinist, Michael Mullen has spent decades immersed in the idioms of fiddling particular to Scottish and Irish music. While he is best known as one of the leading Celtic Rock fiddlers, thanks to his multi-year tenure in the band Californian Celtic band Tempest, he can also deliver as an enthralling interpreter of Celtic music that will send a shiver down the spine. With the debut of his solo act, "Michael Mullen's Trio of One", he dipped his toes into live looping as an interesting performance approach. This way Michael has expanded his musical reach beyond the fiddle to include high energy acoustic guitar, and as an interpreter of song. As a fiddler and singer Michael draws his influences from many sources, but he is still best known as a purveyor of fine Scottish and Irish songs and fiddle tunes.

Michael Mullen's Trio Of One is a multi-faceted solo show: Looped jigs and reels and rocking acoustic folk that bring a uniquely Celtic twist to the term "one man band". Michael becomes a musical hydra with many heads and arms, performing exhilarating Scottish fiddle tunes, rambunctious Irish drinking songs, looped interpretations of music from throughout the world, classic rock covers, and memorable originals. www.michaelmullen.net

" …hard-pressed to find anyone play the violin with as much piss and vinegar as Michael Mullen" - Mark Tinto, Glass Eye Review, Toledo
