Tom Faia became known, long ago, in Nashville and LA for his clever and infectious music. As a solo artist and songwriter with A&M Records, Tom wrote songs recorded by Country Music Hall of Fame inductee Barbara Mandrell and rock legend Dobie Gray.

Today Tom is back home on the Monterey Peninsula, still writing classic feel-good tunes, and will be releasing his highly anticipated fourth album this summer. Tom's currently playing solo acoustic shows as well as shows with his band, The Juice, which includes Dave Evert on guitar, Scott Rudoni on bass, Michael Brautovich on sax and Bill Kucher on drums. Tom will be bringing most if not all of the band with him for the Ugly Mug show. It should be rockin' good time and we are told that dancing is approved of!

My partner-in-crime for the Ugly Mug Acoustic Wednesday shows, Marky Starks, also does some duo singing with Tom and may sit in for one or two tunes in the show.

The Bills' live shows are legendary for their exuberance, power, virtuosity and sheer entertainment. You'll also hear traces of Chopin, Stan Rogers and Django Reinhardt. Their recorded work carries all the same traits: they've been recognized through two JUNO nominations (the Canadian Grammy), two Western Canadian Music Awards and countless positive media and fan reviews. For those who do not know The Bills music, they have a fine and representative set of videos at http://thebills.ca

"Their sound is panoramic, mischievious, fiercely unpretentious - and musically splendid" - Boston Globe

Ray Bonneville, who is both a Canadian and US Citizen, currently resides in Austin Texas. He bills himself as a singer-songwriter in the acoustic blues vein, but he performs as a one-man band, adding groove driven guitar, rack harmonica, and foot percussion to his live performance. He is a former JUNO winner and tours extensively in Europe and has about 8 CDs to his name.
