"Shimmering renditions of Dead music fused with Celtic beauty. The music is beautiful, masterfully performed with Dead-hommage vocal style, great traditional Celtic instrumentation. The Dead songs fit this genre very well. I think any fan of the Dead will appreciate these renditions of their music. I know Jerry would've dug them." - Reed Maidenberg, Amazon.com

6275 Highway 9 in Downtown Felton, call 831-603-2294Reflects the good old U.S. of A., warts and all... colorful tales...reminds us there's a whole wide world outside our doors." --Rolling Stone
This down to earth musical storyteller, with his dry, barb-witted social commentary combined with a deep underlying compassion, knows that the best stories are the little things in the lives of everyday people trying to muddle through with some grace. His great gift as a writer is to infuse these stories with humanity and humor, making them resonate profoundly with his listeners. His spoken introductions to his songs can be as spellbinding as his colorful lyrics, which he brings to life with a well-travelled voice and a delivery that's natural and conversational. His groove-oriented strumming and fingerpicking draw on influences from the mountains of western North Carolina where he now lives, and from lots of different good old traditional folk stuff of all kinds. www.chuckbrodsky.com

AT DON QUIXOTES MUSIC HALL
6275 Highway 9 in Downtown Felton, call 831-603-2294As a young working musician in London , England in the 1970s, Laurence Juber got an extraordinary, life-changing break when Paul McCartney hand-picked him to become Wings' lead guitarist. Juber spent three years recording and touring with the band. During that time he won a Best Rock Instrumental Grammy® Award for the track "Rockestra" from the Wings album Back To The Egg. After Wings disbanded in 1981, Juber embarked on a career as a solo artist, composer and arranger, and soon developed a reputation as a world-class guitar virtuoso, being voted #1 by Fingerstyle Guitar magazine. His new release, One Wing, is a collection of solo guitar arrangements drawn from the Paul McCartney and Wings repertoire. www.laurencejuber.com
Laurence Juber
Sunday, February 25th, 7.00pm, $18 adv /$20 door
THE LITTLE FOX THEATRE
2209 Broadway, Redwood City
call (650) 363-0271 or visit www.foxdream.comAlthough an accomplished composer in his own right, Laurence Juber has recently gained much attention for his fine interpretations of Beatles and Paul McCartney's music. Now, he focuses on the music of an earlier era, arranging and playing some of Harold Arlen's most well-known tunes on his latest release: I've Got the World on Six Strings. Harold Arlens songs, such as "Over The Rainbow" are musical icons, with many others are true standards of the golden era of American theatre and movie songs. This music is structured quite differently than pop music from the 60s and 70s, yet that poses no problem for Juber. Although he included jazzy voicings in "Rules of the Road" and in a number of other originals and covers, he also digs in and offers a bluesier, more soulful listening experience than just about anything he's done previously. He typically plays at least two variations on each verse and bridge, changing tempos, reharmonizing, adding walking bass lines, tenths and tasty single string runs. Harold Arlen's chord progressions, strong melodies, and even the history of this material combine to inspire and unleash Juber, as nothing else has previously; while the performance certainly retains his identifiable stamp, Laurence Juber has clearly achieved a new level of expression in this collection.www.laurencejuber.com
